Words of Wisdom
There were several sayings Dad used repeatedly as we were growing up. They became his words of wisdom. These five were the best:
Most things have been said and done already, so to stand out and be memorable, you have to find a different way of saying and doing things.
Money is never an issue, as long as you have some of it.
Try to avoid fights, but if you don’t have any choice, remember: first, act anxious to get started, and second, there is no such thing as a “fair fight” unless there is a ring, gloves, and a referee.
There is a fine line between being “in the groove” and “in the rut.”
Never get old – it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. (Or, it’s not the model, it’s the mileage.)
